Table and Guarding

Table and guarding is the most important part of any automation machine. This is comprised of the base frames and table tops to locate and mount all the precision tooling as well as offer space underneath to route cables and to mount any pneumatic components or controllers. Guarding is essential to prevent operation injuries and ensure safety is maintained via the use of aluminum doors/frames and Lexan/glass panels that are either fixed in place or locked via magnetic safety-rated actuators. Controllers can also be mounted above the guarding depending on their weight for ease of access or lack of space under tables. Guarding also supports ducting to route cables from the machine to the electrical cabinets. Accessories such as estops, HMIs, beacons, lighting, and alarms are also mounted on the guarding frames to meet automation standards.
